Because they have a religious holiday at roughly the same time, so they celebrate that instead of the secular holiday. Christmas wasn't the birth of Jesus, and we barely pretend it is anymore. Even Christians more closely associate Christmas with Santa than Jesus. Calling Christmas a Christian holiday is about as accurate as calling it a Pagan holiday. |

Wow. Just watched this. As a hardworking mcps employee and parent, I’m thinking, doesn’t he have better things to do? Like supporting our schools?
Seems a little tone deaf. |

Give him a shovel so we don't need to close schools for a few flakes of snow. |
Can he keep the costume? https://parentscoalitionmc.blogspot.com/2025/12/superintendent-parties-as-buddy-elf.html?m=1 |
What do you mean, “Christmas wasn’t the birth of Jesus”? It certainly is, and that is why we celebrate it. |
Who gives a crap. Its Christmas. Some of the most enthusiastic Christmas celebrations are from our Indian friends who dont try to make it Diwali or a religious neutral day. Its Christmas. Its celebrated by Americans so they celebrate along with us. Get over yourself and have a candy cane |
Does anyone know less about their own religion than Christians do? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Date_of_the_birth_of_Jesus |
There is nothing secular about Christmas. We don’t celebrate it and I found the video gross. |
Get over yourself to think we should all celebrate it because you do. Christmas means nothing in our home. Keep your candy canes and get a dreidel. |
What is it with all this? Didn't he get to play dress up as a kid? Taylor Mom if you're around, do tell his constituents what happened to Thomas as a kid. |
He has a job and one that pays twice as much as yours if not more. He gets paid to do whatever he wants to do and right now it is make videos and forget about the Dumpster Fire growing in his lawn. |
Taylor has time to dream up these confections, yet has no time to assemble the data that should be informing the program analysis. The BOE is not getting the data they have requested since last summer until March, when they vote on approving the new program initiative. |
It definitely wasn't. Early Christians just latched on to the timing of the Roman festivals. |
This post was a joke, right? It's so hard to tell on dcum sometimes. |
