If I love Martha’s Vineyard, will I love the Hamptons? What’s are the key differences IYHO?

Take you pick. Snotty, rich New England. Snotty rich East side Manhattan.

Which is which?

This post is too vague. What do you "love" about the vineyard? The vineyard is sizable and there's a big difference between preppy Edgartown versus Boho Vineyard haven versus quiet and serene Chilmark...

The Hamptons also boast scenic beauty with various vibes but some areas (East Hampton, Bridgehampton)might feel obnoxious and less approachable and other areas (Sag Harbor, North fork, Westhampton) are lovely and easy to navigate and love.

“Boho Vineyard Haven?” Huh? What suburban, flyover country hellscape do you live in that makes you think it is “boho?” Is it the singular, ridiculously expensive vintage store and quaint bookstore that is giving you these vibes? Vineyard Haven is great, but to call it that is ridiculous.

I think Chilmark is more boho. But there are big differences between Edgartown, Chilmark and Oak Bluffs, for example.

That is one of the reasons Martha’s Vineyard is more appealing and interesting to me than Nantucket.

The Vineyard is more genteel wealth. Like they might be driving a 1984 Grand Wagoneer with rust spots back to the cottage that's been in their family for 6 generations, and their net worth is insane but you'd never know it based on outward appearance/clothing/jewelry. Also, if you aren't from the Vineyard, there's absolutely no reason to know you.
