do i need to get snow tires for baltimore winter driving?

It's more ice than snow here which I think is a bigger problem (cue the people saying no one knows how to drive in winter around here! But ice is different). She should be okay with all season tires, but I would make sure she knows to give herself plenty of time to get to work and knows to turn into a skid, remind her of a safe following distance. I have to go to work in all weather and switched to all wheel drive when it was time for my next car.

If you need to drive in snow. Get snow tires. If you can stay off the roads until they are plowed. Don't worry about it.
