Why does MCPS give the same weighting to Honors and AP classes?

Yes, they will recalculate the GPA according to their own standard formula.

Do they take into account whether a course is an honors course or an "honors"-for-all course? Or just ignore honors and only pay attention to IP or AB?

Why is Health an honors class. My kid says that most of the time there is nothing to do and he uses that class to finish hw for other classes
