| Remember to buy yourself a ticket. The conductors will deny entry to any group that does not have at least one adult per group. |
| Why was this thread locked and then reopened? |
I don’t know if I want my DC consorting with anyone in Washington. I think that opens them up to a neverending series of concertos. Practically Bach-to-Bach. |
| Do schools still do this? My friend's district used to make a big thing out of Bach Week and the whole thing turns into a gaudy sh*tshow with kids talking about how much money their parents spent on their harpsichords. |
I believe Jeff glanced at the subject line and thought it was a duplicate of an existing beach week thread. I posted in the Website Feedback forum, explained to him and asked him to reopen this. And he did! So now the thread is Bach. |
You can get around this if at least one of the kids wears a large white powdered wig. |
| I'd be careful about this. It starts with Bach, but studies show it might lead to experimentation with Mahler or Shostakovich. |
| Does Bach Week conflict with Mostly Mozart? My kid doesn't want to choose. |
Or worse. This is why I don't understand why any sane parent allows their kid to go to Bach week, at least not without an adult chaperone. |
| Will Branderburgers be served during Bach Week? |
They have the wurst food you can imagine. |
| I went when I was a senior. I was in a fugue state the entire time. |
| It's a nice event, but the food is pretty limp for all that you pay. Breakfast is just a bowl of Concertos, which is not enough if you've been drinking. |
| Please don't send your kid to Bach week unless you are sure they are Well-Tempered and can Handel it. It's not all minuets and gigues. By the time they get home, they’ll be fugued up and mentally baroquen. |
