| Maybe 4 inch black fringe trim ? |
Op, I think the point we are trying to make is that a very short embroidered miniskirt that you add a contrasting fabric trim to the bottom of is not going to be fashionable. If you don't mind wearing an artsy-craftsy looking quirky garment then that's ok. You do you! But it's not going to look sleek and/or current. Maybe you should be asking on a sewing forum instead of a fashion forum? |
Why not just add fabric to the top part and wear it with a blouse that covers |
| have you tried it on with opaque black wool tights? |
+ 1 do this or return. It will look so bad to add a random strip of fabric to a velvet skirt. Or find a way to transfer the embroidery since it sounds like that’s the part you like the most? |
| This seems like too much trouble. I have seen some nice midi-length corduroy skirts with a 70's vibe lately that would look nice with tall suede boots. |
Why can't you just keep it at lower waist, then, and wear a different top, if that's a concern? |
| OP, This is the wrong forum for your question. You need a sewing group with creative flair. Good luck!! |
