George Clooney never had the it factor as far as I was concerned. |
| I’m sick of him already. I live in Austin and he is being pushed hard here. Also sick of MM for this reason. |
| He’s missing something. He’s a latter day Ralph Bellamy…ok, but not a lead actor. |

A) I feel like by most modern measures, he is already a movie star. B) I do think he's a bit generic, like someone asked a computer to generate a movie guy.
So... he's just kind of fine, I guess? |
He was so funny in Scream Queens so I have a soft spot for him. |
| It’s a bit late. He’s already a movie star. Weird question. |
I asked: Do you think Glen Powell has promise as a movie star, as in will his career go well. You are being annoying and overanalyzing this. I did not ask, "Do you think Glenn Powell will become a movie star?" |

The criteria for "movie star" are changing as we speak, which is why it's hard to reply to your question, OP.
These days, just like there are no supermodels, there are no younger generation movie stars. The days of Tom Cruise level stardom are over. So I would say that Glen Powell is not showing promise, as in, a better future than he has now. He's already at the level of movie star, such as it is defined in the new era, which is a lower level of fame and fortune than what it used to be. He will not go past what he has now. That's not disappointing, it's just reality. But I like him fine. I particularly like him in Hit Man, with Adria Arjona (who is delightful in Good Omens). PP who said that he can switch from offensive prick to lovable goof sums it up nicely. |
| I loved him in Hidden Figures |
I would say his career has already taken off. Not sure he’ll be superstar but maybe. Once he became famous, I noticed he was on an episode of The Closer. Only in it the first couple of minutes. |
If you don’t want the tabloids following you, you keep the romance side to yourself and not share it until you know that’s the one you want. He’s 37 so may not want marriage and kids. |
I thought hit man was a horrible movie. But a lot of streaming movies try to go cheap with scripts and directors. |
The funny thing is that movie was directed by Richard Linklater! |
| I find him utterly annoying looking. |
I kind of liked Hit Man and I thought Powell was really good in it. |
