My inclination is to believe the Federal agent acted reasonably until proven otherwise.

Open firing at a fleeing car in the middle of rush hour traffic? Sorry no, that is unreasonable until proven otherwise.

She fired at the car because it hit a police car and was a threat to law enforcement officers standing nearby.

That makes no sense. Firing at a speeding car in the middle of heavy traffic makes nobody safer. It doesn’t stop the car! This was clearly a panic reacting by a poorly trained officer.

I’ll be interested to see what happens to the female agent that discharged her firearm.

Team agent.

Great, these always usually end up with the suspect getting away. Make an example and discourage them from running.

Sure bro. The Federal agents are nothing more than criminals. They have lied in every arrest and in court. This is the second they have opened fire on people because of improper lane change.

You need to move back to Russia.

But you were totally good with Ashli Babbit being shot in the neck and killed for the crime of trespassing and looking through a doorway.

Spare us.

Yes they should have opened fire on all of them and spent a bill for the bullet to the families.

And this is why we’re going to have another civil war - which people like you will start - and lose.

But at least when it’s over, the only place creatures like you will exist is in history books and archival footage.

So at least there’s that.

If a police officer uses their weapon in a crowded area and doesn't hit anyone, it doesn't sound like they made a good call to me.

lol all the people like you who scream for civil war are fat, out of shape, old, white dudes. Are you going to drive up the war with your handicapped parking permit? Bet you will trip, fall and discharge your weapon killing the other fat old guy next to you.

Now jan6 was a civil war action. All people in attendance should have been charge under the federal riot law or shot if they resisted.

People like you are a direct result of participation trophies. You think because you got a participation trophy in elementary school for finishing last you are smart. Go back to your flock sheeple.

Duh, cops get put in jail in DC if they pursue a fleeing suspect. What do you want them to do wave goodbye when they flee.

Democrats didn't do so well last time. They won't again. History repeats.

federal agent opened fire in Southeast D.C. after a traffic stop and police chase, D.C. police say. The gunfire marks the second time in less than a month that a federal agent on the president’s task force fired shots after a traffic stop.

The agent opened fire on Benning Road NE on Thursday afternoon, the Metropolitan Police Department said in what they called a preliminary account. No injuries were reported.

D.C. police and federal partners “working together under the DC Safe and Beautiful Task Force” spotted a traffic violation and pulled someone over at Pennsylvania and Minnesota avenues SE at about 4:45 p.m., an MPD spokesman said in a statement.

The driver fled and members of the task force pursued them.

“A short time later, a federal agent involved in the vehicle pursuit discharged their firearm in the 3400 block of Benning Road, Northeast,” police said.

The suspect was later taken into custody. D.C. police did not open fire, the spokesman said.

The suspect’s name was not released, nor was information on any charges

Wonder what the traffic violation was? Maybe improper lane change like last time?

"Sources familiar with the investigation say the driver of a silver Nissan Altima ran a red light."

"The driver then allegedly backed into a marked police car intentionally before speeding away."
