| Loved London in August with our teens. Definitely do Harry Potter world. |
| London is great! It is wonderfully diverse and cosmopolitan. We went with a six year old. High tea, palaces, eye of london, tower of london, harry potter, etc.... |
| Loved it! Changing of the guards is great (do a free walking tour and they take you to the perfect spot), dishoom for Indian food, take the train to Windsor castle. We went last July and it was in the 70s and cloudy every day. |
| London is the starter European trip for many Americans for a reason - you can’t go wrong. |
Would not recommend London in August. We were there in the beginning of July last year and it was already too hot. In August I’d try one of the Nordic countries. |
| Its perfect for that age- so much to do and they can still follow everything around them. We have travelled and lived abroad extensively and London is still our fav trip. |
Decided that I must have it at least twice on my next trip

Don't assume it will be cool weather. It could be cold and rainy, it could be very hot. And if it's hot, a lot of places dont have CAC. And even the places that claim to have CAC, it's not that cold.
I lived in London for two years and was there during a historic heat wave. It was horrible. |
You mean afternoon tea. |
| I love visiting London, and 9 yrs old is the perfect age to take there. You guys will have a blast. |

20-40 years ago, it was NICE and so much fun!
Now it's a dump and avoid it. |
I was just going to suggest this. I love Ireland! |
As someone who has family in Dublin, there is significantly more to do in London and it's much easier to get around (public transportation, Ireland just doesn't have the train system Britain has). I like Ireland but you end up having to drive more. |
| I go to London several times a year for fun or work and still love it. Our kids loved it at that age. As others have noted it can be hot, and many places aren’t air conditioned. We were there for a couple weeks in June and had a heat wave. Generally it was much cooler at night so that helped. |
High tea, afternoon tea…whatever you call it, I’ll stick with coffee. |
