RM Wootton Churchill Northwood Whitman Kids are great it's parents that stink. |
| Northwest is not too bad. We had only one instance of bullying and it was reported to admin as soon as it happened and they did investigate to our satisfaction. |

Honestly, any MCPS high school is going to be fine. It sounds like your concern is less about bullying and more about "passing" with a fresh start.
That is going to be harder, no matter where you go, but a large school like Blair might be the best option. |
| BCC is definitely welcoming of trans kids. |
PP here, sorry, pressed submit too quickly. BCC is definitely welcoming of trans kids, at least from what I hear from my child who has trans friends and classmates. It doesn't seem to even register as anything different. |
| stay away from WJ. My trans kid gets picked on a lot. |
Agree, B-CC is very accepting. |

Whitman. As others have noted, is a supporting and positive environment, so far, for trans kids.
You can never predict who is going to be a bully, but they have locked down how they handle that as well, so your chances are good there. |
| My daughter had several transgender friends in her friend group at Whitman. I can’t speak to their experience but they obviously had friends! They were very sweet kids. |
| B-CC! |
| Wherever your kid ends up, encourage them to join the theater productions. On stage, tech crew, painting sets, whatever. Theater kids are very accepting and will likely already have trans kids. |
