| Walking the dog happens every day regardless. But otherwise, it's pretty busy with kid activities. |
Good weekend there! |
The only people doing this are the ones without kids in the house. |
| Wake up, errands, cheer on kids at sports game, go out to dinner, go to bed. |
Wrong. There's a thing called babysitters. They're awesome. |
We have sex once every 1.5-2 weeks generally, but often not on a weekend. Random weeknight or lunch (we both work from home) are just as likely if not more so. On weekends kids are around all day and we’re busy with their activities and trying to get errands done etc. |
| Wake up, coffee and read together. I feed horses and ride, he goes to farmers market, kids do sports or putter around outside (teen boys). Afternoon I cook, we had friends over to watch a game with chili. Tomorrow much the same with different friends and pizza. I host a lot! |
| Empty nesters, so the days of running around for kids events is over. Go to the theatre or a concert, go for a hike, run errands, make a nice meal, spend a couple hours with elder parents/inlaws, hang out around the fire pit with other couples/neighbors. And a variety of house projects if warrented |
Not true. Our kids are now out of the house but we’ve always entertained approx monthly and have gone to friends’ houses or out with friends to dinner, concerts, etc. 1-2x month. Kids were home when we entertained, sitter when we went out. Our friends are all similar. |

Most weekends:
Dinner out Fri night Golf or tennis Saturday afternoon, then errands/house stuff and sex Out with friends Saturday or have friends over Sunday is house stuff, gym, reading, relaxing, nap, more errands, food prep, puzzles, etc. Empty nesters….we also walk dogs daily |
| Each kid has one weekend activity (soccer game or ballet) so that, plus they're always at a birthday party or a playdate or just running around the neighborhood with other kids. H and I are social with the other parents so usually we spend a bit of time with them, or we go over or host watching Sunday football with friends. I'd say we have an evening event - either a babysitter or a dinner party where kids are invited - most weekends, but not always. We try to do something fun, yesterday we went to the Spirit game, last weekend we went for a hike with another family. IDK, there isn't a typical, but those are the types of things we do. And a couple hours of chores but we try not to let that take over our whole weekends, we tend to do chores during the week if possible. |
