"convert" the Career Center? How? It's peak 1960s prison chic. |

Yes some board members have expressed this preference. I don’t understand people saying let’s close MPSA but are fine with the other option schools. The point of options is to let people have options to choose from…then why not close immersion, ATS and Campbell. Just because you wouldn’t choose Montessori doesn’t mean you should take away that choice from others.
On a side note, I had one child go through this school and the scope and rigor of their education was much more and higher quality than at my neighborhood school. |
+100. |
They should close tuckahoe. Too many busses for Nottingham. |
| Did the AEC guy just put Taylor on to troll us after the failed DHMS redistricting a few years ago? Taylor isn’t under-enrolled, nor is it near other elementary schools. |
Or make all schools like ATS like we had in the olden days? Throw chairs around the room? Bye bye. Consequences. |
Which board members? Names please. |
Mary Kadera but she’s on her way out. Another solution is that we could close one of the North Arlington schools and still renovate the career center for MPSA |
Just like Nottingham parents- total cult. Seems like a good place for them. |
It doesn’t deter all the South Arlington parents who choose ATS. |
| It makes sense to close one of the 4 schools on the northwestern border of the county. Could be Jamestown, Discovery, Nottingham, or Tuckahoe, but the numbers don’t support keeping them all open regardless of what they do with Montessori. |

+1 it’s a terrible idea to turn it into an elementary school. |
I agree, though it makes no sense to close Discovery given how new it is. They also cannot give discovery to an option school for that same reason. |
I'd love them to tear down and fully rebuild ASFS, and use the extra seats in a North Arlington schools as swing space for the renovation. |
