I mean…if a belt holds your pants up it’s great right? Don’t need to spend $200 on that. |
Okay, then. Try a custom piece of jewelry from this shop. My DD and her friends love this place: https://www.haricotvert.shop |

Thank you to the posters who sent suggestions! I will look into all of them.
To the criticizers (there isn’t a thread on dcum without them), my nephew asked for a belt from that brand. I described what it was because I hadn’t heard of it before my sister clued me into it. It was a special 18th birthday gift and I think my now-college aged nephew wears it a lot. I had a lot of fun picking the emblems on it to match his interests. I don’t want my niece to feel I didn’t put as much thought into her gift. Maybe I’m overthinking it 🤪. Anyway, good suggestions on here, thanks. |

The belt is cool in a preppy way, I’m sure he’ll get tons of use out of it.
Price range is lower but I found some Etsy sellers that make charms you can hang on and interchange on a necklace, so a charm necklace. They are popular now. I got some charms that go with my daughter’s likes and interests. Otherwise, a nice pair of small gold hoops would be my recommendation. Or Pearl studs. |
| I think the belt (especially if he asked for it) was an awesome gift. Preppy and classic. I think a girl equivalent could be a charm bracelet or a nice classy piece of jewelry. |
| The belt is preppy. The girl equivalent would be monogramming something imo. Maybe a jewelry box. Or if she has an interest, be more specific what it is. |
| Can't you get the same belt for the niece? |

Bauble bar has tote bags that you can customize to fit your niece's interests:

| Buy a Tiffany charm bracelet. She can add on charms as she gets older. |
