Has anyone had a flight for tomorrow or this weekend canceled yet?

My mom was expecting friends from Boston. Their flight to BWI was delayed and then canceled. They could kit get another flight tomorrow so the whole trip had to be scrapped.

Have they checked Amtrak?

Our flight to Chicago was delayed 90 mins. We kinda expect to be stranded Sunday.

United and Southwest announced their cancellations.

We are flying tomorrow, Sunday, and next Thursday, a mix of United and SW flights for work.

So far United says flights are on and no change fees but if rebooking costs more that is on us. I bought our flights a long time ago we will be out a chunk if they cancel.

SW is alot easier to rebook than United.

I really don’t think Republicans care at all. Democrats can’t back down on healthcare without risking millions of lives.

Correct Republicans do not care at all they love making misery.

Same. And I already arrived at my destination last week on a one way ticket.

Yes those poor college students who can afford airfare home during the most expensive time of the year . . .

Sw allowed me to rebook with no change fees. My original flight was not cancelled, but I wanted to leave earlier (figuring the mess will just get worse)

United’s app says you can reschedule flights for 11/6-13 for free?

A lot of colleges close their dorms for the week of Thanksgiving. The kids can’t just stay at school and will have to make other arrangements, like going home with a friend or getting a hotel room. At my college, the Dean tried to find a home for students who couldn’t fly home by asking for volunteers among students within driving distance.

They said as much.

Can people post here as they get information in the next few days? Post your flight and destination and whether it was canceled or not? It’ll be interesting to track.

And also post what the delays were, if any at your airport, crowds at security, etc.

It’s actually quite rare for dorms to close over short breaks like Thanksgiving. Many people do not travel for that short a period.

So are only flights between these 40 airports affected? Do both your departure and arrival city need to be listed? Because if not, those 40 airports fly literally everywhere.
