So you’re no longer appalled if someone wanted your kids to die so they could piss on their graves?

Just asking - because it’s a relevant question now, no longer in the abstract. He won. So that means statements like that are….. acceptable?

Trump has already made FAR worse acceptable years ago.

I don’t recall Trump apologizing for a single awful thing he has ever said. So Jones is already better. Unless you don’t believe in the power of forgiveness?

DP- Jason Miyares literally did things to cause children to suffer as AG, so I feel fully justified in my vote.

I think happy, balanced people don't seek political office. It's not a path to a good life.

I think his statements are reprehensible. They just aren’t really shocking to me anymore since it seems like people on both sides make these sorts of comments and they win regardless - so many people must not care what someone says.

There were better candidates running. They got primaried out by the crazier wings of their parties, or split the moderate/normal-people vote, so that we were left with the more fringe candidates.

Agree that the primary processes - in both parties - tend to pick more extreme candidates and do not provide enough vetting. I wish there were a fix for that.

Trump’s treatment of federal workers has been so bad, and Youngkin has been so spineless about it, that I think Republicans will struggle for statewide office in Virginia for years.

Look at the family life/upbringing of the last so many president. Something was missing in their life, the presidency is their "therapy" or so they think.
