It's not random. Also, maybe she wants to get away from you. You sound stifling.

Many people move, not just to a new state, but to a new country, even a new continent. Why? Various reasons: jobs, economic opportunity, adventure, following your s/o....

Sounds exciting,

People move cities, states or countries all the time for good grad school programs.

Why are you pretending to call this random? Med school is a big commitment, on both ends (student and the school)

Sure, you have reason to worry as a parent. I think that's normal. But, the whole move states randomly comment for medical school is a bit unhinged.
