It's rayon, that won't look right for winter. A deeper red and velvet would be perfect in that shape.

I totally support this. Yes, be happy and move on but you might as well show up looking like a knockout.

Don’t go overtly sexy or over the top. Wear something that doesn’t seem like you’re trying but that is in cut/fabric/color that is the most flattering on you. I’m thinking understated color and design but fits like it was made for you. With an hourglass figure lots of dresses can look excellent but be careful it doesn’t look too tight and sexy.

Pay extra attention to nails, hair, skin, makeup. IMO this matters even more than the dress.

This is a great dress for a tall, thin, willowy woman. A size 8 hourglass could do much better for herself than this.
