For what it's worth, the Tysons Fusion location is where my son went, and it was life changing. Kid now in college. |
We are considering this location for my son who is in fifth grade. He’s getting bullied and his self-esteem is tanking, he also has ADHD, OCD and anxiety.Would he be too young or too complicated a case for Fusion? He’s very agreeable and sweet kid, but needs one on one instruction in order to sustain any attention. He also cannot tolerate any technology, so would Fusion be accommodating to that? I would appreciate any more insight to your experiences there. Thank you. |

If you need online AP courses, I recently discovered UC Scout.
It seems fairly flexible. Our district uses Michigan Virtual for a few things and Edgenuity for others. Edgenuity is a bad experience. |
I would reach out and ask them these questions. Some locations have more younger kids than others so they could direct you there, as well. They have a curriculum they follow, but I found they were very open to working with kids as individuals and focusing on what a certain kid needs to succeed. I doubt your child's case would be too complicated for them. I'm so sorry your child is being bullied. It's heartbreaking. |
| Would anyone mind posting how much Fusion costs per year? Considering Tyson‘s and Reston, but I assume it’s going to be the same price. Just trying to get an idea if we can make it work before contacting them. |

Not sure if all the locations cost the same but presumably they're comparable. |
| Is Fusion heavy on tech? My kid doesn’t do well on devices, so would they be accommodating to everything paper/pencil, including testing? |
They use Canvas, but not sure about tests, etc. They are usually very accommodating. |
