Down Cemetery Road

ET is a fabulous actress but unless there's a very strong director at the helm, she hams it up too much. She does that in this show.

I don't disagree, but I'm still enjoying her in a very different role for her. My guess is she'll settle into the character a bit more as the season progresses.

The music is ruining it for me. It doesn't fit at all, is annoying and distracting. I'm keeping with it though because I love Emma T and Slow Horses and will support anyone who helped create that. Also Gary Oldman was cheated out of an Emmy. He is amazing.

I found the first couple of eps pretty gripping, but thought the last two have been rather boring. The scripts simply aren't as well-written and clever as Slow Horses. Hard to believe it's the same team.

I think I need to watch Slow Horses again.

Maybe I was just in a place where it didn't catch on for me.

My sons also seem to be huge fans of The Boys, I watched it like 2 seasons and then dropped off.

I'm currently rewatching The Big C on Netflix after I got dumped into it past the finale of The Beast in Me. I'm kind of a fan of sometimes getting "dumped into" the next thing and just settling back, putting my phone down, lying back in my robe and pulling up a blanket and having one of my cats come sit on my chest on the blanket and stare straight into my face.

I’m just the opposite - I had to slog through the first two episodes and then it rapidly picked up. I found the last episode hilarious. No, it’s not as good as Slow Horses but I still like it.

The one just out? Maybe I need to rewatch.

Not as good as SH but Ruth Wilson is fab. Emma less so- she hams it up too much like pp said.

I guess it was last week's episode. The scene with the assassin on the treadmill, calling the hotel front desk had me howling.

Yeah, I was hoping she'd settle into the role but that hasn't happened. I love ET so much, but not in this. And the writing is just not great.

Latest episode was SO GOOD. I swear, I didn’t care for this show after the first episode, but each subsequent one has been better and better.

Hmm, for me it’s been the opposite.

I've stuck with it and have looked forward to the new episode each week. I will watch until the end - after all it is British and now they're in Scotland. But it's not as good as Slow Horses, which is filled with multiple terrific actors and more sophisticated story lines.

Agree, not as good as Slow Horses (which is excellent and hard to top). But the assassin character (Amos?) in this one is such a great actor. I find myself riveted whenever he's in a scene.

Thoughts on the latest episode? Made me sad on a number of levels.
One quibble - where was Malik, who arguably should have arrived before anyone since he was in a helicopter. He wasn’t even there!
