Does anyone who really cares about appearance NOT use Botox?

Potential side effects like this are what keep me away. I would be forever angry with myself for creating a problem I do not have just for vanity's sake.

Same here and I have 11’s that I really want to get rid of.

Only rich circles do Botox, and a minuscule subset of those do "preventative Botox" (a ridiculous concept).

I'm in a more middle class circle, and don't know anyone who would admit to doing cosmetic enhancements. They're all figuring out how to pay for college!

Personally, at 45, I am considering some form of IPL for barely there sun damage. I do not want to do Botox or fillers because the idea of adding stuff into my face is repulsive.

I don't think Botox is for rich people. I am a middle class fed and I've gotten Botox a few times. I was doing it about twice a year, cost me $600.

I have never done Botox. I’m 52 with dark South Asian skin, and I have almost no wrinkles on my forehead, marionette lines or crows feet. No shade towards anyone who uses it though, I just haven’t felt the need for it myself. I did have a lower bleph at 48 and am not opposed to a facelift when the time comes.

PP you replied to. Right, but I think its general use is much more frequent in wealthier circles.

I'm 36 and have wanted it for a while, but I am terrified of needles and getting botulism. I will probably end up getting it before 40, but I havent yet.

I do very minimal Botox every 6 months so my face can still move - about $400 a year and it makes me look less tired. At first I got the lowest dose they recommended and it was way too much for me, so the next time they did very little and I liked it much better.

I agree Botox is best for white signs of aging. There are better other treatments for other races and their own signs of aging.

I did it for a year or two in my late 40s. It helped my horizontal forehead lines but made everything slightly shiny and frozen looking. I was hoping it would help with depression too, but didn’t notice a difference. And I didn’t want to turn into Nicole Kidman, plus my daughter’s 529 still needed a boost, so I quit. I still care about what I look like but don’t think the Botox helped me look better/younger and am fine without it.

I wonder why some people look shiny and others don’t. Maybe too big of a dose?

I care and do a lot of things but botox wasn't for me when I tried it (once). Made me look angry and I hated the way it felt.

I really care about my appearance but don't use botox because I can't afford it.
Does that count?

I’m a South Asian who got Botox for 11s. Trust me, I am far from the only one.
