What to put in empty fireplace

If you don't like candles, I would do a screen.

We put our internet router and cables in there and it's hidden with a screen

Can someone link some looks?

I’m also looking to fill a fireplace we don’t use. The space is fairly large and the fireplace is blue/gray stone, 2 story chimney.

Would also love to see links to screens you think would work.
Not looking to change decor seasonally.

+1 for birch logs, and maybe swap them out for candles in winter?

I find that the flicker-y LEDs are pretty convincing in cut glass hurricanes and votives. The facets obscure and bounce around a little more which helps.

We covered our fireplace up, because it seemed like anything we put in there that is supposed to be decorative would end up getting dusty and require work.

We put an old tv in the back to simulate a fire. Cheesy but effective. I don’t see how it is worse than all the other fake fire ideas out there. Better in a lot of ways.
