As a single person, how much do you make & spend on rent?

Single person with one kid. $72k pretax, $76k after tax. I get back more than I pay in.
Rent is $2200 for 1-bedroom. Expensive, but awesome building in great location with pool, gym, parking, front desk, rooftop, and all utilities included.
Most of our income comes from an 'annuity' and investments. That's why I don't bother looking for lower rent. I'd cry if I had to work for rent money. Been there, done that.
The kid is hardly ever home. No need for a bigger place quite yet.
Two bedroom would be $2600-$2800 in the same building.
