Do not do this!!! Mommy calling a high school coach will not help the kid. Try to find out from your kid what the critiques are. Is he late? Forgetting things? Not hustling? See if any of it is valid.

Fairly or unfairly, at WCAC schools, players recruited to the school are treated differently than those not recruited.

This is unfortunately true and can lead to a toxic locker room. We’ve seen multiple instances where lesser recruited players by far regularly outperform those ahead of them on the depth chart but can barely get on the field for conference games. Once a coach identifies “my guy” it can be almost impossible to break through, even with overwhelming data which supports different lineup decisions. In these cases a player has to make their peace or transfer.
