Lifetime Fitness - Why So Expensive

Maybe because they want to remain in business ?

Yoga classes elsewhere are ~$25/class so it seems like a deal if you go 2-3x/week.

There are a lot of old people because Medicare pays for membership.

I loved LifeTime when my kids were young and they liked the play programs while I worked out. It was at least $80 per month back then. Now I like it because it's big with lots of air space vs. a crowded, cramped gym. It's worth it.

That’s a good point.

I can justify it bc of the classes, I go 3-4x a week. And mine lets my kids use the pool for free all the summer, i don't know if that is all of them. I also live less than 5 min from one.

If I had to drive more than 10 min, or if I didn't love group classes, it would not be worth it.

How much are you paying? My teens asked to join and we went online and it was over $200 each. Youth memberships weren’t an option. Do you need to go in person to get those? Years ago when I looked it was so much cheaper.

I got them Pure Gym for a fraction of the price. Not fancy and crowded. But the Black Friday price was 14 for the first month and they are teens who aren’t paying themselves.
