Will there be more/modified options or Superintendent will just pick one of the Option A-D and submit to BOE?

If you are saying that the superintendent has to pick one of the existing options, that is essentially saying that there's no point in giving feedback now. This set of options are bad for the DCC and it's not fair to say it's too late to weigh in and say "Do better by us."

After the super's recommendation comes out, there are still feedback opportunities at the spring facilities and boundaries hearings in Feb and March. Also, the board is allowed to create their own alternative options too.

Not saying he has to pick one of the existing ones, but I expect he will pick an option combining the parts of existing options after analyzing the feedback. I don’t believe he will present different options with parts which never solicit community feedback.

Nope. They're going to redistrict lots of new neighborhoods to a dying SSIMS for 4 years and then redistrict them again to Sligo and Einstein right after. Because God forbid Whitman/BCC/WJ families don't get exactly what they want, but they know they can get away with pushing around DCC families.

It's not clear what they'll do. They obviously didn't give Flo Analytics the numbers to reflect the higher capacities at Eastern and Sligo, because the capital budget hasn't been approved yet. But they could opt to leave those MS assignments as is for now, given the expected later boundary study for SSIMS specifically.

I have responded to both of the surveys but do not expect them to listen. It really bothers me they added 500 seats to Wheaton HS and their explanation makes no sense. So far no clarification. I do not think they GAF what I think.

But instead, its boundaries change wildly in all 4 options, adding Woodlin kids and a portion of Flora Singer kids and in one scenario some ESS kids (and moving Forest Knolls and Pine Crest kids out of SSIMS.). It's just stupid, too, since the Forest Knolls and MK/Pine Crest kids stay zoned to Northwood under all the options and get moved to Sligo and Eastern MS respectively, when there's no good reason not to leave them at SSIMS for its last few years and then let them get reassigned later. Instead

I guess we'll have to see, but I think there's a good chance he'll modify an option to just keep everyone currently zoned to Sligo, Eastern and SSIMS at those schools for the time being. None of the three is overcrowded, so there's no reason anyone there has to be rezoned for MS in 2027.
