Not at all. Everyone involved with the movie version is soooo tiresome.

+2 I don't see very many movies in theaters, but will definitely take my kids to Wicked 2.

Like who? Barbara Streisand? Whitney Houston (RIP). There are very few singers today better than Grande and Erivo.

There are many broadway singers who are far more talented than those two.

Ariana is an autotuned pop singer.

I'm a music snob and thought I'd hate it, but I loved Grande and Erivo in these roles. You can tell that Grande worked hard for the part and I think it worked.

Can't wait for part 2!

+1

I almost don’t want to see it for this reason - it’s just been too much. Plus the spectacle of the shrinking bodies of the leads fills me with worry.

But, I have enjoyed the press about the costume designer, Paul Tazewell. Really interesting person who put so much thought into each wardrobe piece.

Oh hun, thats just not true. Have you heard her on the Mixtape Meledy with Kelly Clarkson?

Kelly is the GOAT, of course but Ari sounded great here. I'm not really a fan of hers but I'm not sure how you watch a live performance of hers, and listen to Wicked and think thats autotune. Radio songs are completely different.

Beyond talented and beyond weird.

I am not a fan of Ariana Grande or Cynthia Erivo from what we know of their personalities, but they are both OUTSTANDING in these films. I never really cared for the broadway show, but the movie part one was excellent. Ariana Grande was hilarious.

Also - there are so many better broadway stars that Cynthia Erivo??? That's....not a thing.

I am as excited as I was for wicked, which means absolutely not at all. I don’t see how putting out Erviro and Grande on press tour helps anybody they are so weird.

I got to see it early last night!

It was good. Very good actually, for what it is.
