Why unfortunately? Have the Republicans agreed to reign in Vought? There's no point in passing a budget or CR if he can overrule it at will.

Because most feds are not political. They just want to go back to work.

Then they should be more worried about Vought disregarding the congressional budget.

What are you saying Feds should be doing specifically?

Last shutdown was during Trump's first term and it went 34 days, the longest ever shutdown.

But the military was paid during that shutdown as Department of Defense was funded already. That shutdown only shutdown 25% of the government. This shutdown - none of the government funding has been appropriated.

They should support a shutdown until Vought agrees to faithfully administer the budget.

I don’t recall OPM guidance. Our office said it was okay to glance at email on our work phones but to avoid logging into laptops.

DOD was being paid, Coast Guard was not. I recall Coast Guard being embarassed by some "helpful" email suggesting families hold yard sales to get by.

How do you expect people to talk about a political issue without talking about politics?

Easy. Do you have any relevant non-political news to contribute? No? Move on. Yes? Share like other PPs are sharing.

And there's no way to avoid it here, too. There were only five posts before someone took a political position.
