LOL kind?

HS girls are not "kind"

Poolesville is a mix of working class and people who want bigger lots and bigger homes.

It was pretty conservative but moving a bit.

Any first hand experience related to a local teen attending PHS if they need mild academic accommodations? Not sure how this works in an all magnet school environment.

Even a magnet school has to provide accommodations to students who qualify for 504s and IEPs.

Way to generalize.

I wrote the kind comment above. I’m sure exclusionary bullies exist in every school but my kids were able to find their own tribe at PHS and really didn’t complain. My kids had previously attended a wealthy non diverse middle school and the kids as PHS were so incredibly welcoming by comparison. It was a night and day difference in experience.

Yes they have teams in place to help any student even if they are in the magnet or AP classes. Very kind teachers and staff

Not anymore. Newly developed communities are diverse, and the population is keep growing with new people from everywhere.

Poolesville may be less conservative than it used to be, but it’s still very conservative compared to MoCo as a whole.

MoCo is far, far left, so “very conservative compared to MoCo” leaves basically 99% of the political spectrum open.

This and the faculty skews white and conservative.

That team has a bad reputation but the kids and teachers are mostly really nice.
