High Schools with good soccer

We'll look at Gonzaga, St Johns, Landon, St Albans, St Andres, Bullis, Maret and possible GDS and Sidwell. How are these soccer teams doing? Any of them known for strong programs? He'll continue with his travel team (Arlington) but also would like to play in High School. I know he may need permission but we want to see which teams are worth looking at. (Do any of them recruit?). Thank you!

I will be exploring Landon, Bullis, Sidwell and Maret myself but I don’t think any of these options will actually support his soccer development while they support the academic side.

We are looking into alternatives such as Stanford Online High School to properly align the structure that supports our child and his goals on and off the pitch.

Well, Herndon in VA won the state championships for the largest school division. So...move to Herndon if you want your kid on a really good team.

I don’t think a parent with those school choices is looking at a school or area like Herndon.

I think that was pp's point. you aren't going to get great soccer in a school full of rich white kids.

*for boys - for girls it's almost a requirement

I don't know many who would describe any level of "girls high school soccer" as "great".
