She likes two pieces but modest ones. I tried a bunch of nice women’s brands in xxs - no dice. We then just ordered a zillion no name suits off Amazon in size “13yo” and found one that worked great and just ordered the one that worked in different colors. My 11 yo wears athleta and that would be my top choice if they had any suits by the time 13 yo dd realized in time she needed new suits for this summer. I’m assuming it’s still slim pickings now. They have sufficient padding in girls sizes to provide coverage. Target, old navy, gap, and lands end did not work

My similar-sized 13-year-old found the best options at Target. She wanted two-pieces but nothing too skimpy. Target had a bunch of options that worked, in the girls department, size 14 or XL.

We may have just looked too late but none of the target girls suits had padding on top

My DD (almost 13) got some really cute two pieces at Kohls last fall that still fit her. It looks like there are still some options online.

For future reference in case you find yourself here again next summer, they definitely do (PP whose daughter had luck with Target after pickings were slim at Athleta).

When my DD was 13, I posted about this and people recommended Amazon - which worked great. Cute, appropriate suits that were pretty inexpensive.

My tween is 5’ and 100 lbs and is wearing XL girls suits from old navy this summer. The tops do not have padding though

Kanu Surf on Amazon has padding in its larger sizes - that was a nice surprise for me because my 12 year old is starting to need it.

My 12 year old got 12 cute suits this year at Abercrombie Kids.

This does not nec work if you are flat chested. Ask me how I know!

I got a few from Knix, the period swimsuit company. Also Rip Curl.

For petite tween, the DSG separates from Dick's.
