Gift etiquette for college graduation party

The whole thing is weird. Who invites their younger sibling’s friends to a graduation party?

Ummm…just add a Starbucks gift card to the graduation card.

OP here.

Thanks for the replies. My DC’s friend invited my child, I suspect so they can hang out separately during the party.

To clarify, my OP was not asking what my family should do. I had simply never seen this before and, since my kids are younger, was curious if Zelle/cashapp is a normal aspect of a graduation invitation for 2025 college grads.

I am Indian-American, and it is not unheard in my community that family members or relatives may invite their own friends for any family-specific celebrations.

More the merrier.

+100 it doesn’t matter whether your kid knows them or not because graduation is a family accomplishment - not just about the kid.
