AM was very hot today. One of their ranks of bleachers is out of commission, which halves the spectator space in a very tight area (they are using the other side of the bleachers for the swimmers). Hard to move around, hard to sit, hard to get in and out.

Biggest problem, however, is that AM has no scoreboard. There is one small plug-in clock that flashes the times for the individual places as they come in... sort of. The MeetMobile uploads were very fast, but it was still very hard to appreciate how kids were doing, and doubly so given the combined heats.

On the plus side the meet seemed to be very well _run_, but that facility.

Franconia is much worse in air quality than AM.

Not many good times in the afternoon sessions and lots of NS.

Agree with that last sentence. We were fortunate to have both parents there, so one timed and one taped. I timed a bunch of other kids too.

I always wonder about parents that would subject their kids to that. They will be wiped out for days.

If you sit in the AC upstairs it isn't that bad for the parents.

Is this serious? The viewing is better up above that’s why I watch from up there. And I usually walk around outside between events.

For HS swim, my kid has multiple meets at Franconia and I’m always sitting in the bleachers.

You stand in air conditioning while your swimmer is on a deck that is 110 degrees and the cool off area is outdoors which is 100.

In the winter it is not that bad. Do not compare HS meets to this. So obtuse.

Are you actually there during HS swim in the winter? Does your child train at Franconia? Just curious if you have actual experience at Franconia. Also my kid didn’t even swim this meet so back off.
