Why is Jen Psaki such a failure on MSNBC? Only 55k prime demo viewers

I used to be a fan but the way she threw Biden under the bus really pissed me off, especially since she told her to have a close relationship to the family in the past. No thanks.

I agree that fewer people watch the news. I consume news via newspaper online, WaPo, NYT, wsj. Election and debate nights are an exception. I Watch those. And I am a boomer.


Years ago I was in an elevator with someone with whom everyone else wanted selfies. I had no idea who he was, but he turned out to be a big name on CNN.

I think there was some fatigue after the election and some MSNBC and CNN viewers tuned out in general, not just Psaki.

Also there was some MSNBC backlash after Joe and Mika met with Trump.

+1 my mom keeps MSNBC on for background noise in the house. A lot of Gen Z and Millennials don’t buy cable so they aren’t watching. That entire industry is being fed by boomers.

She is not an ex republican tea partier and she is not connected to New York City Wall Street jewish business community. The network was really pushing her but she does not fit MSNBC audience.

I think it's because someone at MSNBC was literally a contributor on "The West Wing " Maybe it was Lawrence O 'Donnell? They did get too caught up in the idea of the White House drama. Psaki seems to get off on the idea of people hating her and making fun of her so she can pretend to be above it and play victim. She seems like she gets high on reading about herself. I bet she's insufferable in person.
