It is much easier to find a proctor than a substitute teacher. |
At our school, teachers get paid extra if it is outside of their duty day. |
What didn't they let him take the test at home? So unfair! |
You’re so ungrateful!
My child has extended time on the AP test, needs and uses every minute of it. I’m so thankful I don’t care if I have to go pick him up from school. If picking him up from school bothers you so much, just tell him to not use his extended time and rush through the test and finish it along with the rest of the class. 🙄 |
It doesn't work that way. On an AP test, they have to stay till the end. If the end is set to extended time, they still have to stay till the end. |
Don’t work for MCPS, but I got paid a flat fee to proctor outside my usual hours. I only did it one year though because I found it really stressful to make sure we followed every single rule perfectly. The proctor instructions are designed to stress you out … |
That doesn't surprise me, given that so many proctors get so many things wrong! Thank you for serving ![]() |

That is no longer true starting this year. Students can self select to move on once the regular time has elapsed. |
No - extended time is usually in a separate room. |
Agreed! Mine has a physical impairment AND a learning disability, and they use their extra time to meditate on how blessed they are to have so many unfair advantages. people are such haters! |
I don’t know about previous years but this year kids left when they were done. My son was one of the last to leave. |
This was not my kids experience at their MCPS school so it may be in transition still. |
