I love me a shellfish tower, but I don't think that is going to push them anywhere near that food/drink min. |
Who doesn't love a shellfish tower in the Vegas heat next to the pool! |
I feel like this falls into the category of "if you are actually rich enough to do this, you aren't concerned what the F&B minimum is."
I certainly wouldn't know. |
Plunge pools are always tiny and pointless unless they are attached to your room and you can swim naked in them. |
Totally. They actually have one on the Cabana menu for $600!! |
This has to be a troll. No one could possibly be this obtuse. |
One bottle of Dom Perignon + 20 breakfast burritos. |
OP here. It is an obscene amount of money to spend, I think, but DH likes to splurge. He can’t stand the heat, doesn’t want to deal with all the other tourists, hates the early morning lounge chair reservation game with people’s personal stuff, and plans to work the whole time while the kids hang out at the pool. We’re going over the 4th of July so he figures it will be extremely crowded and we might appreciate a safe haven from the heat and madness. The Venetian cabanas have A/C, WiFi, a private bathroom, lots of seating, and actual walls and doors vs. curtains. He won’t use the plunge pool (aka, glorified hot tub), but it might be nice for me and the kids if the main pool is overrun by tourists. |
is there a reason you’re going to Vegas instead of someplace nicer? I mean you could rent any number of gorgeous air bnb mansions with a pool for that much. |
A bottle of Dom Perignon Luminous and a Catch and Release will get you there with no problem:

I'm seeing rates of $5,000 and $5,200 per Saturday for cabana with plunge pool. No mention of food minimum. |
Surprisingly, the July 4th weekend is less costly at $4,500 (Saturday) and $3,700 (Friday) for cabana with plunge pool. |
Yes, but we’re going there for a concert to see The Weeknd. We have the Diamond VIP Lounge ticket package and four seats near the main stage. Our DD is in love with this guy and all his songs. |
I've done a cabana in vegas (cost split between four couples -- we were vacationing together), and WE TOGETHER had trouble meeting the minimum! Splurges are fine if you have the budget -- which you clearly do -- but this is beyond silly for just one family. Are you at least planning on spending the whole day at the pool? |
A plunge pool in Vegas in July will most likely be 90+ so not as refreshing as you think. Any shallow pool is going to be hot. I've been to a few pools with cabanas like that but I wouldn't go just with the family. It's basically just your hotel room right next to the pool. -Another Arizonan |
