Would this be totally crazy?

I would caution against even naming her Bella or Bailey or something. A time will come when she asks about how you picked her name and you don't want to say "well honey, we named you Belle for a 2 year old's convenience"

You're either a troll or too dumb to have kids.

Dumb. Bella or Belle.

When we talk to her about her sister, we've been calling her "Belly" (it started out with us explaining that there was a baby in my belly, and somehow that snowballed into the baby being called Belly, lol!!). DH and I have struggled to pick a name, and I know it will be hard for 2 y/o DD to suddenly stop calling her sister Belly and start calling her some strange new name. So...what if we just name her Belly? I hear there's a popular TV show with a main character whose name is Belly, so it clearly has some status as a name, right? I personally think it would be very cute! DH thinks there's a possibility I'm going crazy, hahaha. What do you all think?

1. Fetus is in womb not belly.
2. Only a fool would even suggest calling the child "Belly," let alone actually calling their child "Belly."

Your stupidity is already obvious to all so I suppose you could name her Belle and mispronounce her name.

Isabella, Mirabel, Annabelle, and even Kelly are all darling. Do this. You can call her Belly as a nickname.

This. Try Bella.

It’s a super cute nickname that everyone will forget as soon as she’s born.

That TV show is The Summer I Turned Pretty. “Belly” is a nickname for Isabel. And it’s horribly grating to hear, tbh. Don’t do it as a full name!! One of the characters uses the nickname “Bells” rather than Belly.

A rare DCUM consensus! OP - please do not name your daughter Belly. It is not a good name. However, I really like all the names PP's have suggested - Annabelle, Bella, Isabelle, or Mirabelle are all very lovely. She can have Belly as a nickname in your family until she outgrows it and still have a beautiful name.

FWIW when my daughter was 3 she wanted to name her baby brother "Flowers Sweet Honey Grass." Occasionally we call him this (he's 2 now) and it's a cute little inside pet name, but if I didn't keep bringing it up my daughter would have totally forgotten about it. We also have a lot of other nicknames for him. One is "Bingie" (not related to his name at all, it just stuck.) Nicknames will come and go, don't name your kid based on one.

This is not actually a problem at all. Your daughter will call her sister by her actual name

She will have zero issues with "a strange new name", that's just not a thing
