Let it go Mclean…. Let it go…

It’s probably mostly the FVU families, Maclean is happy to be out.

McLean is looking smarter by the day.

I feel sorry for the FVU kids. They deserve better.

Wouldn’t this technically be giving them better? If done correctly of course. Villarreal joins, the 2010s are good. Gives them the opportunity to play at a higher level. Add in the best 2010 FVU boys and it gives them a better opportunity. The lower level players from that team move down, while upsetting for them it gives them the correct level of competition. Villarreal 2010 second team is decent as well, they now play RL, gives them a better opportunity. This goes back to being done correctly of course but it should give players a better competition level at the appropriate level.

What stopped the Villareal 2010's from trying out for the team or another ECNL club prior to this. Why would they switch now. Brave with friends already released their coaching staff for next year and it is all BRYC and Vienna coaches. It might funnel some of the 2013's and younger to them but i don't see how it helps with the current teams. I am coming from one of the 6 clubs what is the chance that my kid actually gets seen at this tryout instead of Arlington or VDA. There is no benefit.

Clearly all these clubs are being added to improve the boys correct? These are not exactly clubs that have had a track record of success on the girls side.

Is there any club that cares about the girls anymore? Maybe Arlington and VDA?

Does anyone know if VYS and BRYC have been working together at all at younger age groups? I understand the ECNL club will always take the best kids available to them, but to me the benefit for kids would be if the top kids from member clubs were able to have some training sessions together, or maybe play in a tournament together as teammates or opponents. FVU is big enough now they could host their own tournament for U11 and U12.

OMG they added another partner today. This feels very panicky.

It’s the whole “being done correctly” part that makes it a non-starter.

If more kids stay at their home club at U11 and 12 and don’t lose out out ECNL opportunities, then it’s a big benefit for both the kids and the partner clubs. Too many kids move now when they are so young just trying to position themselves to try out for ECNL at U13.

I think it's refreshing to have the kids fully compete at u13 to make an ECNL squad. Too many clubs and parents who rule do not promote and demote as they can.

Lets do an ecnl combine. March 1 in VA, May 1 in MD, compete to sign your best possible team!

Yeah no. Sounds like fun but they are not pros. You going to take measurements too creep

Nope just tire of kids who have been on top teams since u8 getting the golden path and kids getting missed or overlooked due to club politics. More an issue at some of those ahem... bigger clubs
