I’ve seen much improvement in my brain fog, hot flashes, restless legs, dry skin, hair loss, and cycle. I’ve also recently started their semiglutide shot and it’s been great. Their labs ordered are thorough and one can message their provider with any follow-up questions. I dig it and will continue using it.

Same. I could have written exactly the same.

I also could say the same about the old obgyn. It’s amazing to me that they are so willing to talk about post partum depression but then when I went in feeling similar later in periM, I could no longer be trusted to say “this is hormonal and I feel like crap and it’s hurting my family and job.” Got a new doc but would have done the online if I didn’t feel I could find a good in person doc. I kinda like in person if I can find it these days.

How old are you all and did any of you go for weight management? The weight gain, especially around my midsection makes me feel like I’m in someone else’s body

Feeling like you no longer are in the same body is a theme of PeriM/menopause but of course it could be other things. There’s usually more (or more coming). Your cycle can change in small ways. I would track it if you’re not already. Sleep and mood changes are common. Hot flashes can be minor such as night sweats

I use Evernow and they take insurance- very happy with them.

MIDI has been great for me! I actually tried it on a lark, figuring I didn’t have much to lose. Easy to schedule, covered by my insurance, and they are the very first provider of mine to have ordered a Vit D lab test based on my symptoms and wow, turns out I am severely deficient. And I’m 54, why didn’t my internist or gyn ever check that. Sheesh.

I use them and have zero issues. They take my insurance. Meds are fully covered

Nice provider who listens and not a lot of spam emails.

Another happy Evernow patient here. My provider is so helpful and easy to schedule with. Zero issues with my insurance and getting the Rx filled at local pharmacy.

My gyn is willing to prescribe HRT but won't order labwork to check my hormone levels - says they vary all the time and it doesn't matter. Would it be worth using Midi just for thorough lab work?

I tried midi and found it to not be very personalized at all. It was just like - oh you’re 45? Take estrogen and progesterone. I found a new OB who tested levels and found my anemia and also thought I only needed vag estrogen.

A lot of the menopause doctors who are active online also recommend against labs. In perimenopause your hormones fluctuate wildly so they say they labs are typically not helpful.

If you have a doctor willing to prescribe and listen to your symptoms, I would stick with them! I’m jealous. My OB/GYN is a woman in her mid 50s and is listed by the national menopause Society, and she still is really dismissive. She is pro hormone therapy but wants me to wait till I’m fully in menopause which could be another 3 to 4 years. I’m not miserable yet so I’m willing to wait but I am exploring other options if things get worse.

I love my np at Midi health. She has tested me so thoroughly, is candid about results, makes sure I understand everything, and has helped me prioritize my healthcare needs. Insurance covers - I pay $20 copay. I know I do need to see a dr at some point but I’m dreading it after this awesome experience with my midi health np.

What do they do? Are the all online? What has been offered to you?

I dont like them. They prescribed me a starting HRT in perimenapause. I;ve been bleeding for 3 weeks now on it. I have done my own research and figured out that I have too much estrogen now and not much progesteron? I've been emailing my provider with questions but they dont respond, probably holidays. I am taking to her tomorrow to stop it. Long story short, there is no individualized approach and you are a name on a paper. Go to a real doctor if you want to start HRT.
