There are two "carolinas" in there that should say "california"

There is no University of Carolina, Santa Barbara

Indira Gandhi National Open University, known as IGNOU, is the world's largest university, boasting an active enrollment of 3,093,583 students.

Given College in India is usually three years they get well over one million applicants each year.

Don't care about India colleges here.

I cared about it more than that bogus AI list though.

Feels like lists based on empirical data would be easy to get correct.

UPenn had 66,500 applications last year...which is more than GA Tech and Cornell as an example.

It should say University of Southern California, NOT South Carolina.

Applicants just need to check a box on a common application to apply to another UC campus.

The vast majority of Indian universities are the equivalent of correspondence schools. That's why it's bullshit when they say India is going to eat the world because they graduate so many engineers. Most of those kids paid money, learned little to nothing and were sent a degree. They also lump HVAC repair and auto repair an the like into "engineers".

There are only like 10 legit universities in the entire country.

What would be more interesting is top 15 colleges by application/"seats" ratio.
Of course huge schools are going to headline if we're talking sheer numbers but what schools may have a smaller student body but a relatively large number of applicants.
