I forgot to add I also signed up for personal training about 6 months postpartum. We lived in Miami at the time and laser and personal training was normal. A lot of people had trainers.

3rd baby he got me a 3 stone diamond ring (to symbolize 3 babies). It was also our 10th anniversary and my 35th birthday. I wear it instead of my engagement ring.

Our family tradition is jewelry, one stone per number of child — solitaire for first baby up to the five stone diamond ring my grandmother passed on to my father (her fifth child). The baby it’s “for” inherits it, two of my aunts received

Sorry hit send— two of my aunts inherited the diamonds that were given in honor of their husbands birth, and then gave them to their sons to propose to their fiancées. I think it’s a lovely way of recycling heirlooms and signifying a connection between generations.

For my first, I requested a bidet. DH didn’t want one but agreed to it, and now he loves it.

For my second, I liked the idea of diamond earrings but have nowhere to wear them these days. I don’t even wear my diamond ring anymore. DH got us a night nanny instead and said he’ll buy me the earrings if I want them later.

I don’t understand this logic. Both you and your DH chose to have a baby (hopefully) and he has the baby without the trauma of childbirth.

Why should you get a present for you choosing to have a baby?

I’m curious about the moms who got nothing from their DH after having a baby: do you get presents from DH at Christmas, on your birthday, on Mother’s Day, etc?
