Precisely. In earlier decades, in fact virtually all of human history until the 1970s, women needed men (more specifically male resources) for survival.

I don’t think our society has fully come to terms with this seismic change.

There's no end of reputable studies showing conservatives are happier than liberals. I am surrounded by increasingly middle aged single women in a big urban city and I can attest it is not an outcome most wanted. OP is sensationalist and the Atlantic hasn't been a reputable or honest entity in a while, it's very much cherry picking to preach to the progressive choir.

The older I get the more convinced I am that we are biologically hardwired in ways we really cannot overcome and this extends to so much of how we approach people. That the unhappiest people in society are the most progressive is not surprising to me because they are also the most in denial about basic biology and truth itself - such as the concept of trans, for example.

What problems? Being sexist is only a problem if it causes you some difficulty. As long as you don't want to attract a woman or you are fine attracting a women that wants a sexist male, I don't see a huge problem

Your experience mirrors mine but I don’t think we will ever agree on most things politically.
