Senior pranks

Oh my god. I would have loved to see this!! That’s hilarious

THis sounds pretty harmless. I'm known in my family as "no fun" because I HATE pranks -- anything that is mean or causes damage for "fun" seems to me not at all fun. But a campout does seem kind of fun.

If I'm that teacher, I laugh and then call in sick when there is no parking. I'm not taking metro and I'm not paying to park

So you would commit timecard fraud instead of paying $10 to park? Love your passion and integrity.

Why wouldn’t the teacher just park in the student lot….?

+1. If I was that teacher, I would be thrilled and giving/taking requests. Of course I only know about 4 mariachi songs….

My DD, a senior at B-CC, asked me for permission to “camp out” on the field Wednesday night, which is apparently their planned prank (along with parking in the teacher’s lot.) I do not want to allow her to do anything that could harm her ability to walk at graduation, but also don’t want her to miss out on something the whole grade is doing.

If they are on the field they will be on camera 24/7.

Just please tell them not to pitch tents with anchors on the turf field. They don't even allow heels at graduation. Presumably students know this, but it would be bad for what's meant to be a harmless, fun event to damage the field

Frankly, I would just say no. These kids are so close to graduating and you never know how the administration is going to react. Let it go, it's totally unnecessary. I told my kids they were so close to the rest of their lives and this silliness will mean absolutely nothing in a few short years.

School commited parking lot fraud first.

If you say "time card fraud", everyone knows you are a narc anyway.

This is a no

Why dies your kid think pranking someone is funny?

It’s not

And if your kid gets consequences then what ? You going to bail them out ?

I was not a controlling parent but this is a no

How'd the prank go?

I’d never allow my DCs to participate in any pranks. Last year a group of seniors poured a detergent onto a hallway as a prank and a school staff fell and injured (hit his head) and went to an ER. Idiots

Blair’s prank was for the kids to park in inappropriate places - on the median, grass, sidewalk. Apparently all the kids had to run outside and move their cars when they announced that the tow trucks were being called. I think that’s pretty funny and harmless.

In a proper world, parents don't hear about pranks for 10 years or so after graduation.

My favorite was harmless but funny. Only seniors can park at my school and underclassmen park on neighborhood streets. Seniors got there early and parked in the street and ate breakfast in lawn chairs in their assigned spots.

Yeah, kids blocked of all the parking at my kid's HS last year, and a 9mo pregnant teacher had to hike a long distance to school. Field sounds fun, but don't inconvenience the teachers, kids. They do so much and don't get paid enough.
