Weekend trip just to use pool?

It’s a bit of a drive but you can go to the resort where they filmed dirty dancing and it has a great pool. It’s near Blacksburg so you can go into town and get pizza if you get bored. We had a very nice relaxing weekend there.

My kids love a good pool. We’ve sort of done this (got together with friends at a place in the middle of nowhere, so kids would be entertained.) it was great.
In your case, I would totally do that. A little hike or lunch in town + a fun pool would be a great relaxing vacation that my kids would love.
