Who do I see for excruciating hand pain?

IKR? Like maybe visit your primary care physician? Not a nurse or PA or urgent care-see an actual primary care MD.

SMH.

Your GP/primary care doc might be able to diagnose it, or will refer you possibly to a neurologist or orthopedist.

Have you ever been diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome? Or cervical radiculopathy/spinal stenosis in your neck? Asking because both are common cause of hand pain.

are your hands swollen? are they numb in the night? carpal tunnel has some component of tingling/numbness. RA can have symmetrical swollen joints.

Bilateral? Any swelling? If it's not carpal tunnel, maybe something rheumatic = rheumatologist.
