Your GP/primary care doc might be able to diagnose it, or will refer you possibly to a neurologist or orthopedist.
Have you ever been diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome? Or cervical radiculopathy/spinal stenosis in your neck? Asking because both are common cause of hand pain. |

are your hands swollen? are they numb in the night? carpal tunnel has some component of tingling/numbness. RA can have symmetrical swollen joints. |
Bilateral? Any swelling? If it's not carpal tunnel, maybe something rheumatic = rheumatologist. |
