Newport Mill MS is probably the weakest link in the school pyramid, but that's true of most (all?) middle schools. For high school students participate in a choice process and there are several magnet and special programs.

OTES isn't that great. Or, at least our experience wasn't. I was so glad to be done with that school. The neighborhood is great and the homes are in high demand but that price is insane for that house.

DP. Maybe I just have a different perspective on what is “insane” or “shocking”, but this house is likely going to be sold in short order for the asking price or over, so I don’t understand why the price would be considered “insane” or “shocking”. It’s the current state of the market in desirable neighborhoods, particularly one that is relatively “affordable” (or affordable by DMV standards). If you look at similar homes currently on the market in 20895 zoned for Einstein, the pricing is in line.

It's a public school, and not everyone is happy, but survey data show students and teachers are overall happier than at many other schools including those in very wealthy neighborhoods.

And it’s already pending. Given that it lasted less than a week on the market I wonder how much over asking it went for.
