This is the most likely answer. OP got their panties in a bunch over a teenager's misunderstanding.

It's not what happened. I've physically seen the offers. These kids were moved from "Waitlist Active" to "Admitted Fall '24"

But it doesn't look like anyone here is able to shed any light on it, just worthless commentary as usual.

I was giving you the benefit of the doubt being your teenagers misunderstanding. I guess its your misunderstanding. No one has been accepted off the waitlist, some were deferred early decision to regular and then accepted. By the way, who has "physically seen the offers" of their teenagers friends offers? Very creepy and weird.

You need to accept a spot at a different School. Sometimes kids are offered a spot off the wait list well into the summer, maybe even June or July. James Madison if offered the spot, but you are likely to lose your deposit at the first school.

You are wrong. You don't have to like it, but you are.

And FYI, it's not 'creepy' that my DS showed me a screenshot of the admission. You do know that most HSs have entire Instagram accounts completely devoted to this, right? ACHS has posted something like 300 of these. So has Mclean, Langley, W and L.

You sound like an old and out of touch luddite.

DP. You've "physically seen" other kids' offers. Sure.
