Sure, if the number of online classes is the new metric. |
Excellent decision. Charlottesville and the campus are a cesspool. Hard to believe it even ranks where it is now. Most likely by 2030 it will fall out of the top 50 and below 20 in publics. |
Not going to happen. |
PP is also the same Wisco booster who tries to insert Wisconsin into every conversation about elite publics. |
+1000. truly yet again another envious parent whose kid didnt get in |
Exactly. |
publics better and/or more interesting than uva:
CU-Boulder UCLA Cal UCSD Washington Michigan UT-Austin |
Add UNC & GATech |
GATech - definitely UNC - eh - it's pretty identical to uva |
Add Minnesota |
This is hilarious. Charlottesville…what a dump. |
THIS. OP is horribly ignorant. UVA was no 2 public is USNWR eight years ago. The only reason it slid was because USNWR changed its methodology to put more emphasis on number of pell grant recipients. anyone on college admissions can tell you that a public university cant control that. Pell grant eligibility is determined after acceptance. So long as Virginians, as a whole, are wealthier than Californians, UVA will have fewer pell grant recipients. Thus, when USNWR did this, UVA dropped. no big deal. And before you say UVA should do more to service the poor, it has, with a number of outreach prigrams, and is one of the few publics to participate in Questbridge. So, as long as USNWr continues in this path, the Virginia schools will be "punished" in the ratings because Virginia a better managed stated. Go figure. Everyone in high ed knows this. OP is either ignorant or a VTech (UVA rival) or MD boister or yet another parent fried because their kid didn't get into UVA so take it out here. Ignore and move on |
Any college's Strategic Plan is just a vision / marketing document. Often, their main use is with fundraising. |
Not a dump, but also not sure it is headed in the right direction. |
Nice rant. UVA is now #5. Eight years ago they were #2 and eight years from now they will drop even more. |
