Best party favor your kids has gotten

Has your kid gotten any (ideally like one individual thing) that was actually worth it?

My son got the hedbanz game at one which was great - they’d somehow gotten it in a bulk clearance thing where it worked out to like $9 a favor, the regular $25 would be faaaar out of the range I’d do

$9 a favor?!?! Depending on the party size I kept it under $1 or $2. The best when she was little was the bubble glove-they are about $1.50.

I, the mom, liked books.

+1

And I'm the mom who also gives a book and a blow pop or pop rocks.

My kids loved just a little bag of candy or a cookie, which is truly simple and totally biodegradable (ha - in their tummy).

Right!! $9 for a party favor? Nope.
Best thing my kid got was a Rubik’s cube. That was from a wealthy friend. Consumables would be a good choice. Get cookies made in the theme of the party, have them in individually wrapped bags and have them as the favors.

Me again... I forgot to mention one of my older kids got a Stanley as a party favor - no joke. That was her favorite. I was thinking it costs the same as the gift my daughter gave her! That was too much!!

When my kids were that age, I used to link the favor to the activity. We did at home parties. So for a Harry Potter party they got to take home slime they made in “potions class” and a quill they “bought” from the magic store and some Bertie botts. We did an art party and they decorated an apron to take home along with their art project. I heard from parents that their kids liked it, but no first-hand reports from the party guests to confirm.

ooooh I'd like this!
My kid went to a party on Saturday and brought home zero favors. It was great not to have to deal with trash, plastic crap, etc.

Actually I’d be fine with this. No clutter, no sugar. Put in large clear bowl and flush when dead.

The junk easily adds up to $5-10 - for the bag and tissue paper and junky slinky and bubbles and 5 pieces of candy. thats why its all so dumb when most ends in the trash

The kids love 💕 to get those goody bags though. They shout for joy at the end of the parties for a goody bag of their own. They look right into the bag and start pulling items out and even trade stuff. There’s no denying that in the moment, the kids love those bags. And, if it makes 12-15 kids happy at DC’s party, then that’s what it is all about. A frivolous, fun party for all!

Pokemon cards for my kid. For his birthday party we did one old fashioned toys - yoyos, snake puzzle, 15 puzzle, etc. It was expensive but we just did one game per kid and lunch paper bags that the kid decorated.

Candy, like movie theater boxes. Anything edible and poof, it's gone. No junk!

Favorites over the years:
A rubber playground ball
Hula hoop
Pinwheel
Punch Ball
Wooden peg game
Jump rope (we've gotten a couple in goody bags that were junky, but one was a nice jump rope that still works a few years later)

These all lasted for years beyond the party and were played with a lot. Even the pinwheel was random, but it was really strong and still sits in my tomato patch to try to scare away squirrels! And the bunches looked really pretty as party decor.

This was SO over the top - but for one preschool party themed "princesses and knights" all the girls got a poofy princess skirt and tiara and the boys all got a tunic and a sword - my 4 year old thought this was awesome.
