Eating out as splurge, trying not to feel guilty

Cut down to two times a week or buy something that is big enough to eat for two times. Maybe that change makes you feel better.
I wonder what you buy that is so good?
I occasionally eat Chipotle shredded beef salad, veggie pho, Peri-peri chicken, Ethiopian veggie platter, Cheesecake Factory Thai chicken salad, and that Kafe in GT with awesome salads.

Let’s say you cook at home, an average meal. What are you spending? Let’s say we have steak. It’s going to be around $25 for our family of three to have steak. Then I’ll make a salad and potato, maybe that’s another $10. It could be even more if we need salad dressing or A1 sauce. Plus I have to cook and clean up, and time = money. So I’ve spent $35 on dinner.

Last weekend we went out for dinner. We ate, had dessert and a drink each and spent $80, but I really only spent $45. And only $25 if we didn’t get drinks. Only $15 if we didn’t have an app.

I’m going out to eat for $15 more.

Where can you eat out for $80 for 2 with dessert, drinks and tip included???

It's basically our only splurge right now too. Our kids are 3 and 5. We have two separate drops offs and pick ups (daycare and school), we both work full time, have a house to maintain, a dog, an elderly parent, etc etc etc. It's the 1 convenience we allow ourselves. We don't do grocery delivery, don't have cleaners so I just try to not let it bother me.
