Op here. I’ve looked for same birth years as my kids.. and it’s interesting to see the range in parents that are my peers (such as in school functions).
I see this in person too, but I can’t always tell. I’m 39, and it’s a tiny bit easy for me to guess if someone is +/- 5 years different in age. But I can’t tell for many people. Also it’s harder to scan for generations, but I do see it’s interesting what gen x is raising. A huge huge variety of generations. |
For example for people born in the 70s, I’m seeing here a 99 and an 18. A 25 year old and a 5 year old. Like I said, we see this out in public. There’s no judgment behind it. But it cuts people’s ideas that boomers raised X and Milennial. X is raising Z and Milennial is raising Alpha. It’s so much more complicated than that. Plus boomers is a massive age range that should be divided. 39-50 and 50-68 being very different. |
My mother’s parents 88 + 06 = 27 and 29 My father’s parents 05 + 05 = 28 and 31 and 42 My parents 29+31 = 64 and 65 DH and I. 60+64= 97 and 99 |
People born in 1939-1945 are actually the silent generation, not boomers. |
73. 73. 2015

77 + 81 = 12, 14, 16 |
74+76= 08 and 10
My parents are 44 and 45= 76 |
81 + 86 = 18, 20, 23. |
84 + 84 = 13 |
Don't disclose anything personal, anywhere. Doesn't matter if it seems vague. |
This def seems fishy and specifically formatted |
81+81 = 09, 14 |
